Salads are a staple in my kitchen and they also have a place on the table this Christmas. This sautéed pear salad with blue cheese and nuts, specifically, is ideal for a month of celebration. It is simple but combines some ingredients that we often use.
I love the touch that sautéed pears add to this salad. Not only because it is a tender and juicy bite, but also because add a warm touch which is especially appreciated at this time of year. With these it combines perfectly blue cheese, that's why we haven't missed the opportunity to incorporate it.
How much do you like blue cheese? If you are lovers of this cheese, you will tend to add it in greater quantities. However, in my experience the ideal is to add it in small doses so that you are able to identify its flavor but that it does not camouflage others. Do you dare to prepare it?
The recipe
- 4 handfuls of lettuce and/or assorted green sprouts
- 2-3 tablespoons of blue cheese
- 2 conference pears
- A handful of walnuts
- ¼ white onion
- Olive oil
- Apple vinager
- Sal Island
- We wash the lettuce, we drain it well and place it in the bottom of a salad bowl.
- Then we add the blue cheese crumbled and chopped white onion.
- Add a little salt, season with oil and vinegar and mix.
- Then we peel the pears and we cut them into not very thick pieces.
- We grease a frying pan and we sauté the pear pieces until they take color and are tender. Once done, we add the pear to the salad.
- To finish we add a walnut to enjoy this sautéed pear salad with blue cheese and walnuts.
