Rice with squid in American sauce is a discovery that saves our lives for many days. The great thing about this recipe is that we use canned squid, my favorites are squid in American sauce but squid in its ink is not bad either. The recipe therefore could not be simpler and the result is a rice with an incredible flavor. Nobody would say that it is a matter of opening a couple of cans.
Encourage yourself to make this recipe and you will see how in your monthly purchase you will never miss a few cans of squid because it is a recipe that you are going to make at least once a month, I assure you. I hope you like it as much as I do. Go for the recipe!
- 200 gr round rice
- 3 cans of small squid in American sauce
- 1 piece of red pepper and another green
- ¼ onion
- 1 small tomato
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste (optional)
- ½ liter of broth
- 1 garlic
- parsley
- olive oil
- shawl
- Chop the pepper and onion and in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt, sauté. When the vegetables begin to be soft, add the chopped tomato and wait for everything to be done.
- Now we add the rice, and a teaspoon of concentrated tomato, we stir so that the rice is impregnated with all the flavors.
- We add the broth, we let the rice cook for about 20 ′. We taste salt in case something else needs to be added.
- Meanwhile in a mortar we put the garlic and parsley, mash. In the same mortar we add the cans of squid in American sauce, mix with the mash and reserve.
- The rice is ready, it is time to add the mash with the squid. Stir to mix and serve with a little chopped parsley.
- Bon Appetite!!
