How I liked this recipe! So much so that I couldn't help but wait to share it with you. And this is puff pastry with tuna, peppers and goat cheese It is a great alternative to complete your table at lunches and dinners with friends this summer.
easy and fast to prepareThere will be few who do not like this filled puff pastry. With a golden, crispy exterior and a tender, creamy filling, it will be a real hit. And you won't need to mess around in the kitchen to prepare it since, to your surprise, you won't need to cook the filling.
The filling ingredients do not require going through the pan, something that makes things much easier. You just have to mix, place and put in the oven. My tip is try to do it at the moment, this way the puff pastry will not soften and will be very crispy.
The recipe
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 3 cans of tuna in oil, drained
- 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- Roasted pepper strips
- 2 tablespoons olive tapenade
- 6 slices of goat cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- In a bowl we mix the tuna well drained with the tomato and set aside.
- Then we stretch the puff pastry and we cut it in half.
- We place the first half on the oven tray lined with greaseproof paper.
- Then We place the tuna and tomato mixture on top of it, well spread out and leaving a clean centimeter around the entire perimeter that will later allow us to close the puff pastry.
- About tuna we place some strips of pepper chopped and well drained.
- Next, we spread a little tapenade on top and the slices of goat cheese.
- We close the puff pastry placing the other half on the filling and gluing the edges with a little water. Then we pinch them to make sure the filling doesn't come out.
- We spread with beaten egg the puff pastry and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top if we have it. Finally, prick with a fork a couple of times on the top.
- We take to the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 180ºC or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy.
- Once done, take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before placing it on a platter and taking it to the table.
