Who likes porridge for breakfast? It is one of my favorite breakfasts during the winter when the cold invites to start the day with a strong and hot proposal. Now, I enjoy them in numbered days and I always look for new combinations so as not to get bored. Oat flakes, apple, more apple, grapes, almonds and cinnamon. With that combination of ingredients, what can go wrong? apples sweeten the porridge, since they not only serve as a topping but are integrated into them, the almonds provide the crunchy touch and the grapes? The grapes make the porridge fresher.
Making them is very simple and will not take you more than 20 minutes. Maybe during the week you don't want to spend so much time eating breakfast, but on the weekend there is no excuse to prepare them if you feel like trying them. The recipe
- 3 tablespoons oat flakes
- 200 ml almond milk
- 2 apples
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Some grapes
- A tablespoon of chopped almonds
- In a saucepan mix the oat flakes with the almond drink and bring to a boil.
- Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat and we cook the porridge for 5-8 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
- Time passed, we incorporate an apple peeled and grated, honey and cinnamon, mix and cook for a couple more minutes, stirring the mixture.
- We serve the porridge in a bowl and place some apple segments, the grapes, the almonds and a little extra cinnamon on the horns.
- We let them warm up for a few minutes and we enjoyed the porridge with apple and grape for breakfast.
