Many of us have already started to think about possible recipes for the Christmas holidays. And maybe we hadn't thought of these pork chops in leek cream as one, but why not? Changing pork chops for lamb chops can become quite a feast.
Chops, in general, tend to be somewhat dry, which is why it feels so good to combine them with garnishes like this one that give them provide juiciness and creaminess. And the best thing, without complicating our lives too much, is that the holidays are, above all, to be enjoyed.
The leek cream It also has onion, a perfect combination to accompany the meat. And there is no need to go overboard with the garnish, since the cream makes it filling. The amounts of cream that we propose today are enough as an accompaniment for up to 6 people. Keep this in mind when calculating!
The recipe
- 4-6 pork chops
- 2 onions
- 1 leek
- ¼ liter of cooking cream
- Sal Island
- Black pepper
- Virgin olive oil
- We peel the onions and we chop in julienne. Afterwards, we wash the leek and chop it in the same way.
- Then, add a teaspoon of olive oil to a frying pan and we slowly poach these vegetables for about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, we preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- After 10 minutes, add the cream Add the onion and leek mixture, season generously with salt and pepper and cook the whole thing for a couple more minutes.
- Next, we place the leek cream in a bowl and arrange the salted chops on top of it.
- We take to the oven and cook for 8 minutes so that the meat is cooked.
- Then we turn the chops and we wait for them to finish cooking, raising the temperature a little at the end if we want them to take on a golden color.
- Once they are done, we take the dish out of the oven, being careful not to burn ourselves, and we take the pork chops in leek cream directly to the table.
