Potato balls stuffed with meat and cheese

Potato balls stuffed with meat

Yesterday I really wanted to cook and I got down to work and made these delicious meat stuffed potato balls. It is a very simple recipe although it may not seem like it, since you will only have to cook the meat since these potato balls are wrapped with mashed potatoes that I have already made you on more than one occasion.

These recipes are very practical for children to eat just like the grown-ups. They love to discover things and experience new flavors and texturesFor this reason, these meat-filled potato balls will be a delicacy that you will love.

Ingredients

  • Mashed potatoes.
  • 300 g minced meat.
  • 1 onion.
  • 2 garlic cloves.
  • Olive oil.
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Thyme.
  • I beaten egg.
  • Bread crumbs.

Preparation

To make these potato balls, we will have to first make the mash. You can find this recipe on the blog without any problem to make it easier for you. What you have to keep in mind is that this puree must be more compact since it is better to handle and does not stick to us.

Mashed potatoes

Then we will cook the meat to fill the balls of patatos. To do this, we will chop the onion and garlic very well. In a frying pan we will put a little olive oil and brown the garlic and then add the onion until it is very well poached. Then, we will add the meat and add the salt, ground black pepper and thyme, to give the meat more flavor.

Potato ball filling

Now is the time to do the potato balls. We will put in the palm of the hand a good stick of mashed potatoes and we will crush it a little. Then we will put a little of the stewed meat on top and a small portion of sliced cheese or if you prefer a dice of some cured cheese.

Then with the same hand we will close the potato ball and we will give it shape by kneading it a little. If you see that the ball opens, you can take a little more puree to close those gaps well.

Potato ball filling

Once all the potato balls have been made, we will bread. To do this, we will pass them through beaten egg and breadcrumbs and fry them in a pan with a good base of oil. As the meat is already cooked and the puree is also done, you don't need to fry it for so long, just until it is a little browned.

If you want, you can accompany it with a pink sauce or mayonnaise, although I guarantee that alone they are also delicious. I hope you liked these potato balls stuffed with meat and cheese.

Thanks!! And of course you can fill it with only cheese, but in that case I recommend you better a square of semi or cured cheese instead of the slices. In addition, since you are a vegetarian, you can fill it with a refried pepper and carrots, it would also be very tasty.

      Thanks for following us!!
