This mashed potato recipe doesn't require many ingredients or much time, as it's very simple and quick to make. It can be a lifesaver in a pinch.

To make this mashed potato, the first thing we need to do is peel and wash the potatoes very well . Once washed, we'll cut them into small cubes so that they're easier to mash later. We'll put them in a pot with water and cook them for about 20 minutes with a little salt. If you have a pressure cooker, once the steam starts to release, cook for just 5 more minutes.

Next, we'll drain the potatoes and place them on a plate to cool slightly. Then, we'll mash them all with a potato ricer or a fork.

Finally, put the piece of butter in a saucepan and stir it with a whisk. Once it's melted, add the potatoes and stir again. Now, add splashes of milk until you get a light cream. Add parsley and just a pinch of nutmeg. Don't overdo it with the nutmeg, as it's quite strong and children might not like it.

There's another way to make mashed potatoes . Once you have the mashed potatoes, add one raw egg and then the spices. The method is up to you; I personally prefer the first one. I hope you like it.
