Christmas is coming to an end but there are still some pending celebrations and many more that will happen throughout the year. And there is nothing like starting them by serving some simple canapés, that do not require much work and that most people like, like these canapés with tuna cream and smoked salmon.
Prepare the ingredients and mix them, there is little else to do to enjoy these canapés. You will have to add something to serve them on to your shopping list. I suggest you do it on some salty crackers; they look better than on toast. But you could also go for a classic: vol-au-vents or puff pastry baskets.
Buy a good one tuna in olive oil, since this is the main ingredient and the one that will give the canapé the most flavour. And a soft cream cheese, which does not take away the fish's prominence, will make a more balanced canapé. Will you dare to prepare them at your next gathering of friends and/or family at home?
- Pretzels
- 2 cans of tuna in oil
- 100 g smoked salmon
- ½ piece of spring onion
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
- We drain the oil well from the tuna and crumble it into a bowl.
- Add the finely chopped smoked salmon and spring onion and mix.
- Next, add the cream cheese and mayonnaise and mix well until creamy.
- Add salt and pepper and taste to see if the salt needs adjusting.
- We keep it in the fridge until 15 minutes before serving, when we will take it out of the fridge to place it on the crackers.
- The canapés with tuna cream and smoked salmon are now ready to be served and enjoyed.
