Lately I am in the experimentation phase in the kitchen, especially in what to breakfasts and snacks it means. I really like coffee, but every time I drink it, I add some semi-skimmed milk because the coffee is just too bitter for my palate. The thing is, I've been noticing for months that when I drink this portion of milk a day (about a glass and a half) it doesn't feel too good on my body. The digestion of food becomes heavier and slower.
Why am I saying this? Because lately instead of having the typical coffee with milk in the morning and a toast with olive oil, butter or ham, I am fond of trying different drinks that are not on the market to replace the traditional cow's milk of always but that can be combined. I almost always have in the fridge oat drink, almond drink and soy drink. These drinks also known as "milk" give a different touch to breakfast and bring new flavors. There is also the drink or rice milk, which they say is also very good but I have not tried it yet so I cannot speak about it. Of all those mentioned above, my favorite is undoubtedly almond milk, although it is true that it is the one with the highest sugar content so it is not convenient to abuse it.
Next, I will tell you what my breakfast has consisted of today and I invite you all to try it. It is delicious and very healthy, because it contains seeds and fruits with all or almost all the nutrients that the body needs every day. 100% recommended!
- 200 ml almond milk
- 4 fresas
- Dried fruit (bananas, peaches, plums, coconut, pineapple, raisins, ...)
- Seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc ...)
- Oatmeal
- What I do is add the 200 ml of Almond milk in a bowl or large cup and heat it for just one minute in the microwave.
- Next, I am adding the oatmeal (2 level tablespoons approximately), the dried fruit (sold in herbalists), another two tablespoons and finally, the seeds (2 level dessert spoons).
- The last thing I add is the 4 fresas well washed and cut into small pieces.
- I move well, and that's it. Well nutritious breakfast prepared in a couple of minutes. Is there anything easier?
